I posted last night that I received my soap mold. Even though today's Christmas day, I just can't stop thinking about the first recipe or batch that I'm going to fill that soap mold with. I think I will do my turmeric pork lard and milk recipe, because it produces such a nice bar of soap. While those turmeric pork lard/milk soap bars were curing, they smelled funny because of the milk. But as it cured, the smell began to disappear. So, now that I know that the weird smell from the milk will eventually go away, I want to make that recipe again.
And, because making cold-process soap is labor-intensive, even if I've made several batches already, I won't be able to put up pictures of how I make my soap. I can, however, put up pictures of the ingredients that I use and the filled soap mold. Now, I need to redesign my packaging because I don't think the size of the soap bars that will come out of this mold will fit the kraft paper packaging that I make for my current soap bars.
