About Us

We currently live in the High Desert of Southern California. After much debate and thought, my fiance and I are planning to save money to buy land somewhere in the South, particularly in Tennessee. Right now, however, we're in limbo, meaning we aren't going to stay in our place for very long but we will be living in Southern California for at least another one or two years, just to save up money.

Our dream is a simple one. We want to own land, build a small house (around 600 sq. ft. to start), get a water well dug, and live off of selling items that we produce ourselves. Just because it is a simple dream doesn't mean it is an easy one to achieve. We know it will take plenty of hard work - work that will be different from the 9 to 5 that most people have (actually, most people have to work more than 8 or 9 hours a day just to make ends meet). We know that living off the land might mean working for tens of hours a day, but what makes it appealing for us is the thought that we are working for our survival and for ourselves.

This is going to be a process that might be long and will certainly be difficult. Nothing great comes easy, as I always say, but anything worth having must be worth waiting for. So, come along with us on this crazy ride that two young people have decided to take. We'd love to have you with us!
